Good Morning. It's Friday 3rd January, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road
Wooh joins list of defenders on Leeds short list
Cameroon International Christopher Wooh has become the latest in a long line of central defenders to be linked with a January move to Elland Road.
The 23yo applies his trade with Rennes, whose mediocre performances this season have seen them plummet into the bottom half of Ligue 1, just four points from the drop zone. Manager Jorge Sampaoli has decided to make some brutal decisions in the wake of their poor form, and one of them is to rid their club of Wooh.
He is available for the bargain price of €7m (£5.8m) which is well within Leeds budget. He joins Andrew Omobamidele, Nico Elvedi and Abdukodir Khusanov as players of interest (all defenders).
Bogle should be passed fit after 'dead leg'
Jayden Bogle is expected to return to action tomorrow when the mighty Whites take on Hull City at the MKM Stadium.
He limped off early in the second half of the 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers on New Years Day, prompting speculation a spell on the side-lines may be on the cards for the 24yo. With wing-back cover in short supply, concerned fans took to social media to express their concern.
Junior Firpo, Max Wober and Sam Byram all have terrible injury records, and given Isaac Schmidt's lack of game time since signing on transfer deadline day last Summer, the last thing Daniel Farke needed is to lose his first choice right-back.
Fortunately after closer examination, it was determined Bogle had nothing more than a dead leg. Although painful, he should be in a position to start the game against Hull at the weekend. It will be interesting to see whether Leeds bring full-back options in on loan this month!
Everton set to dump Harrison
Everton could be set to dump Jack Harrison, and return him to Elland Road this month if they are able to capture
Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time. This means if they want to bring in temporary reinforcements, they need to dump either Jack Harrison or Armando Broja.
Whilst neither player has had much of an impact this season, Harrison has not scored in eleven months, and has made no worthwhile contributions this season in almost a thousand minutes of game time.
The Toffee's have been linked with a host of possible loans, including former Hull ace Jaden Philogene who joined Aston Villa last Summer for £18m. Just like Daniel Farke did with Djed Spence, if a player fails to live up to expectation, they can return them back to their parent club no questions asked!!!
