Weekly Round Up – 15/12/2024

Match Report

Sunday saw us back in League action for the first time since mid-November as we travelled to KRCT Bidston (a). A slow start to the game from The Dock saw The Bidston take an early 1-0 lead from the penalty spot on the 15 minute mark. The Dock quickly answered back 6 mins later through a Kieran Hamm strike which saw both teams go into the break level at 1-1. The ever present Peter Morgan put The Dock into the lead early in the second half before Adam Lea secured all 3 points around the 80th minute mark.

The win sees The Dock move up to 4th position in the league table 3pts behind Beechwood FC having played 2 games less than the league leaders. Their continues to be no daylight in the race for the clubs Top Goalscorer after all three joint top scorers managed to find the net against The Bidston.

Next week sees The Dock host Rock Ferry Social in the League kicking off at 11:00am at Vauxhalls FC (4G Pitch).

John Skillen – Funeral Arrangements

John Skillen’s funeral will be held on Wednesday of this week (18th December) at 12:30pm in Landican Cemetery’s South Chapel. Family Flowers only and any donations will be greatly received by Birkenhead Kennels.
