Wrong selection, wrong formation, wrong tactics (14 replies)
Been the same for a few games now.
The "plan" falls apart if teams press us, if they don't allow their defence to be stretched open by Laird playing high on the right, If they defend deep, it their central defenders are tall and strong and stick together, their goalkeeper commands the box.
Paik and Iwata are picked to play a double pivot, but aren't being allowed to play that way due to the need for them to also be the attacking feed to the striker
The opposition aren't afraid to let the ball come into their box if it's in the air and crowd out the one person looking for a cut back
All of the above also makes us vulnerable to the counter-attack
People say May and Stansfield don't form a great "partnership" - but they don't need to as long as we make sure there at least two targets in the box
Allsop
TGH Klarer Bielik Cochrane
Iwata Paik
Williamson Leonard Stansfield
