Match Preview: Ayr United vs Queen’s Park

The Spiders make the short journey down to Somerset Park to take on Scott Brown's Ayr United on Saturday looking to extend the current run of three without defeat.

It’s be the second meeting of the sides in the William Hill Championship this season, with the first ending in a score draw at Hampden in late September, and Callum Davidson’s squad go into the game looking to build on a hard fought three points against Dunfermline Athletic at Hampden a week ago.

Ahead of the game the club media team spoke to Callum and defenderWill Tizzard.

The season so far
The Spiders go into the game looking to build on the seven points picked up from our last three matches. That run started with victory against Greenock Morton and was followed by a draw away to Livingston and last week’s win over Dunfermline, which left Queen’s fourth in the table.

The Honest Men go into the game sitting third in the table and on the back of a disappointing 3-2 defeat to East Kilbride midweek, a result which saw them exit the SPFL Trust Trophy at the quarter final stage.
