Spurs fixtures confirmed for busy festive period, including strange 7pm Sunday kick-off
The games will come thick and fast for Tottenham Hotspur this season as they compete across four different competitions, and we now have confirmation of when the fixtures for December and January will take place.
Spurs are a busy team this year
We are now seven games into the Premier League campaign for 2024/25, and it’s been an indifferent start for Spurs, who have three wins, three defeats, and a draw to their name.
Meanwhile, Ange Postecoglou‘s side scraped through the Carabao Cup third round clash with Coventry City and will now face Manchester City in the next round.
On the continent, Spurs have two wins from two games in the Europa League, but still have a long way to go if they are to make good on their promise as favourites to win the whole tournament.
Then, there will be the FA Cup to consider, with third round ties their kicking off in the New Year.
To be successful this season, Spurs will not only need to play well, but Postecoglou will need to manage his squad and rotate as necessary to get the best out of each player throughout a hectic schedule.
Festive schedule revealed
While the fixture list each season is shared before the first ball has been kicked, those games are always subject to change depending on other competitions and television broadcast demands.
So, the club has now revealed exactly when the games in December and January will take place, and it’s thrown up some interesting timings, including a 7pm kick-off on a Sunday night, and a North London derby on a Wednesday night.
In December, Spurs have the following fixtures:
- Thursday, December 5 at 8:15pm: Bournemouth (A)
- Sunday, December 8 at 4:30pm: Chelsea (H)
- Sunday, December 15 at 7:00pm: Southampton (A)
- Sunday, December 22 at 4:30pm: Liverpool (H)
- Thursday, December 26 at 3:00pm: Nottingham Forest (A)
- Sunday, December 29 at 3:00pm: Wolves (H)
Meanwhile, January looks like this for Spurs in the Premier League:
- Saturday, January 4 at 12:30pm: Newcastle (H)
- Wednesday, January 15 at 8:00pm: Arsenal (A)
- Sunday, January 19 at 2:00pm: Everton (A)
- Sunday, January 26 at 2:00pm: Leicester City (H)
A crucial time for Spurs
Getting through that period, considering there will be Europa League games and the start of the FA Cup, plus potentially a Carabao Cup tie in there, too, is going to take a real effort from Spurs. If they can make it out of that run relatively unscathed, the Lilywhites can expect to have a really good season.
