Charity Race Night Next Month!

This season, the Club has set itself the target of raising £6,000 to buy games, electronics and soft furnishings for the Children’s Department at the new hospital block due to open at Bournemouth Hospital in 2025 (part of the hospitals BEACH appeal). We are looking to provide the unlucky children who find themselves in hospital with the home comforts and distractions that the NHS don’t provide. Any profit we make from the evening will be matched £ for £ by the Gale Foundation Trust up to £2,500. In simple terms, if we raise £2,500 or more the GFT will match it with a donation to a maximum of £2,500. Please see the attachment for what we are looking to buy from the funds raised.

It would be great to see you there and attending what is sure to be a fun night! The tickets are only £5 for admission and the very reasonable bar prices that the Centenary Club charge make it a great value night out. Tickets available in advance from the Club shop on matchdays, from me, richard.gale@pooletownfc.co.uk or from Dick Thomas at the Centenary Club.

You can sponsor a race or horse from the attached race card. To sponsor a race costs £50 and the race can be called whatever (as long as it’s printable!) the sponsor wishes. Horses for each race cost £10 to ‘own’ for the night and the winning owner from each race will be presented with a bottle of fizz. This excludes Race 8 which is a Pig Race and the piggies will be auctioned on the night to the highest bidders. The winning owner of this race will receive a bottle of champagne.
