He needs fullbacks and we have no one in our squad on the left or the right that can deliver consistently good attacking performances. Lucas Digne was no Leighton Baines, but Digne was certainly the last player that could be that kind of complete full back that we love to see bombing down the flanks to the byline to put in a cross.
You have to have overlapping and underlapping off ball runs from deeper areas, otherwise your team will never function properly at the highest level in an attacking sense.
These off ball runs are what moves defenders out of position. They make defenders make decisions on whether to follow the runner or go to the man with the ball. They overload areas, and give space to players like Ndiaye to create magic.
Without good quality full backs, you will never get the best out of Ndiaye.
