Manchester considering January move for Pau Torres

Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for Aston Villa’s defensive lynchpin Pau Torres in a deal worth around €50 million.

The 27-year-old Spaniard, who joined Villa from Villarreal in July 2023, has rapidly established himself as one of the Premier League’s standout defenders.

His solid performances helped Villa secure a top-four finish last season and continue to impress in the current campaign.

Torres, known for his composure and left-footed defensive ability, has been on United’s radar for some time.

With Lisandro Martinez’s inconsistent form early in the 2024/25 season, the Red Devils are keen on bolstering their defence with a left-sided centre-back.

While Villa highly values Torres, it remains to be seen if a €50 million offer will convince them to part with their star defender.

If Manchester United can secure Torres, he could be a vital addition, providing much-needed stability and competition in their backline.
