Preview: Montrose (H)

Hibs Women are back on home turf this weekend as the girls take on Montrose in the ScottishPower Women's Premier League. 

Kick off for our Hibs Kids fixture, sponsored by Brick Borrow, is at 1pm on Sunday 6 October at Meadowbank Stadium. 

THE LOWDOWN

Grant Scott's side come into the home clash high on confidence following last Sunday's excellent performance in the Sky Sports Cup second round.

Hibs' spot in the quarter-finals were secured with a comprehensive 7-0 victory over fellow SWPL outfit Queen's Park at Ochilview.

There were four names on the scoresheet; Kathleen McGovern netted a hat-trick, Eilidh Adams bagged a brace, Lauren Doran-Barr nabbed a birthday strike, and Linzi Taylor opened the scoring.

Attention turns back to the league now after drawing Partick Thistle in the final eight, with Hibernian looking to rise from fifth-place in the table with a victory over Montrose.

THE VISITORS

Montrose suffered the same fate as our most recent opponents in last weekend's cup action - taking on a heavy 7-0 loss at the hands of Celtic to exit the cup at the last 16 stage.

In the league, Craig Feroz's have picked up two wins from eight league games this season to sit ninth-place in the table on six points. 

The Hibees faced the the Links Park club twice last season, winning on both occasions.

A 4-1 home victory in August was succeeded by an 8-0 triumph in Angus in November - with Abbie Ferguson netted four times in the latter encounter.
