Update on Tottenham’s rumoured talks with Bundesliga goal machine

All Nigeria Soccer pour cold water on suggestions that Tottenham Hotspur are making advances towards the signing of one of the Bundesliga’s most feared marksmen.

Tottenham’s issues up front

Spurs broke the bank to sign Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth in the recent transfer window, with the centre-forward netting his first goal for the side in the 3-1 win over Brentford.

However, Ange Postecoglou does have some problems up front, with Richarlison once again being sidelined with an injury, with no clarity at the moment on his expected return date.

The Tottenham head coach could thus be tempted to enter the market for another number nine when the transfer window reopens in January.

No talks with Boniface

However, All Nigeria Soccer have now refuted suggestions that either Spurs or Chelsea have made progress in their talks over a deal for Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface.

They rubbish claims that the 23-year-old is in talks with either London club, insisting that the player has not had any dialogue with anyone about his future.

They say that it is ‘100 per cent confirmed’ that there are currently no transfer talks, with the Nigerian international said to be happy at Leverkusen.

Boniface will be a wanted man

Since his move to Leverkusen in the summer of 2023, Boniface has banged in the goals with regularity, getting 21 from 34 games last season and four in six matches so far this campaign.

If the centre-forward keeps banging in the goals at the same rate, it is only a matter of time before many of Europe’s elite clubs come knocking.

However, with the striker contracted to Leverkusen until 2028, the reigning Bundesliga champions will certainly not their marksman go without a fight.
