‘Tickets for Schools’ Mount Florida Primary Question and Answer with Will Tizzard

0 2

Queen’s Park’s ‘Tickets for Schools’ initiative returned to nearby Mount Florida Primary School when defender Will Tizzard visited the Cathcart Road school this week.

Pupils from Mount Florida were guests of the club for last Saturday’s game against Ayr United, and ahead of that match midfielder Jack Turner popped in to hand over Match Tickets as well as Queen’s Park scarves and t-shirts.

Will, who made his comeback against The Honest Men after two months out and went close to scoring with a header in the first half, talked about playing against Ayr, life as a professional footballer and the ‘Tickets for Schools’ initiative in a Question-and-Answer session with the pupils who were at Hampden for the game.

Kieran Koszary, Head of Commercial at Queen’s Park said: “I am delighted to say that as part of ‘The Tickets for Schools’ programme we were able to get Jack to visit Mount Florida in his free time before the game and Will after it on the same basis.

“It was terrific to see the pupils before, during and after the Ayr game. They were really enthusiastic about supporting Queen’s Park.”

Local solicitors MacDonald Lynch helped make the children’s visit all the more memorable by donating catering vouchers that were used for half-time snacks with Will saying: “It is great that the club and local companies are so involved in their local community. The Tickets for Schools programme is a great idea, and I enjoyed visiting Mount Florida and being put on the spot by the pupil’s questions.”
