Postecoglou makes surprise inclusion in Tottenham’s Premier League squad
Ange Postecoglou makes a surprising call by including Sergio Reguilon in Tottenham’s 25-man Premier League squad.
Tottenham’s official Premier League squad
Friday was the deadline for teams to confirm their finalised squad for the Premier League until January and Tottenham’s final list on the league’s official website has one major surprise.
Reguilon, who has not featured in the matchday squad at all since Postecoglou arrived through the door at the start of last summer, has been included in the list.
The Spaniard is into the final year of his contract at Spurs and it came as a surprise to many when he remained put at Hotspur Way beyond the end of the transfer window.
We have now seemingly received confirmation that the 27-year-old will remain at Tottenham until January, with the left-back’s name being included in the North London club’s squad.
This decision comes as a surprise after Postecoglou warned the full-back a couple of weeks ago that he might not be integrated into the squad if he does not seal a move away (The Standard).

Spurs Web Opinion
If Reguilon has decided to remain at Tottenham until January, then it makes sense to include him in the squad as an emergency option in case there is an injury crisis at the club.
