Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers took on Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets on Monday Night Football in their season opener at Levi’s Stadium as they seek to return to the Super Bowl.
The 49ers defeated the Jets 32-19, with place kicker Jake Moody putting up six of six field goals for a total of 18 points.
At halftime, former 49ers running back Frank Gore was honored after his induction into the 49ers Hall of Fame as the sold-out crowd cheered him on.
In the first start of his three-year career, Jordan Mason covered for Christian McCaffrey’s surprise absence and ran for 147 yards.
