Patriots Injury Report: Key Offensive Lineman Doesn’t Practice

There are plenty of questions surrounding the New England Patriots offensive line heading into Sunday's season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals.

And New England's first injury report of the season only added concern to the unit.

The Patriots listed nine players on the injury report Wednesday with starting left guard Sidy Sow the only one who did not participate in practice. Sow suffered an ankle injury in the preseason finale and said earlier this week he was "day-to-day."

Sow isn't the only member of the offensive line to make an appearance on the injury report. Vederian Lowe was a limited participant in practice due to an abdomen injury.

The Patriots also had three defenders who were limited for the practice session while linebacker Christian Elliss (concussion), tight end Hunter Henry (foot), linebacker Anfernee Jennings (wrist) and defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr. (hamstring) were all full participants. That's a good sign for Henry, whose status heading into the opener was in doubt.

Here is Wednesday's full injury report:

DID NOT PARTICIPATE
G Sidy Sow, Ankle

LIMITED PARTICIPATION
CB Jonathan Jones, Hamstring
T Vederian Lowe, Abdomen
LB Joshua Uche, Foot
LB Oshane Ximines, Ankle

The Bengals listed four players on their injury report. Star quarterback Joe Burrow (right wrist) was a full participant while wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (non-injury related-rest) was also on the practice field as a limited participant. Defensive tackle Kris Jenkins (thumb) and offensive tackle Amarius Mims (pectoral) were also limited participants.
