European Club In Raheem Sterling Mix As Man Utd Hold Deal Talks

Manchester United have held talks with Chelsea over potentially signing Raheem Sterling, but an unnamed European club are also in the mix, according to the Daily Telegraph.

 

Chelsea have made clear that Sterling is no longer part of their plans and they want to offload him before the window closes.

 

If no move can be agreed then Sterling is set to train with Chelsea’s Under-21s in a further sign he is firmly out of the picture under Enzo Maresca.

 

 

Manchester United have emerged as a very real potential destination for Sterling and they have held talks with Chelsea.

 

The deal under discussion would see Jadon Sancho join Chelsea and Sterling move to Manchester United.

 

 

However, another potential factor is also in play as Sterling is wanted by an unnamed European side.

 

They have been in contention to sign the winger before the window closes.

 

 

With Sterling on a huge pay packet at Stamford Bridge which is worth over £300,000 per week, Chelsea would be expected to subsidise some of it at his next club.

 

Sterling has been keen to stay in the Premier League as he feels it would help him get back into the England squad.
