Club Set To ‘Make A Counter Proposal’ To Leicester For Star Foxes Want

0 6

Genk are set to ‘make a counter proposal’ to Leicester City after they rejected a new offer from the Foxes for Bilal El Khannouss.

Leicester are keen on snapping up the attacking midfielder from the Belgian side and the player is also in favour of the move.

El Khannouss even refused to take part in training earlier today in protest at how Genk were refusing to speak to his entourage about the deal.

Leicester have now been in with a new bid for El Khannouss and it is €20m as a fixed fee, €3m in add-ons and a ten per cent sell-on clause.

According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the proposal is still not good enough for Genk, but they are going to ‘make a counter proposal’ to Leicester.

Genk look to have opened up to selling El Khannouss as long as the deal is right.

The Morocco international featured heavily for Genk over the course of last season and made 51 outings across all competitions.

He is keen to switch to Leicester, but the clock is ticking and Genk are determined to only sell on their terms.

Whether those will be acceptable to the Foxes remains to be seen.
