According to BBC Sport reporter Nizaar Kinsella, Tottenham Hotspur will retain a significant sell-on clause on Jude Soonsup-Bell, who is now set to complete a permanent switch away from the club.

Another important U21 player is set to leave Tottenham

Spurs have loaned out some of their academy starlets over recent weeks, with Dane Scarlett and Jamie Donley moving to the EFL while Alejo Veliz has signed with Espanyol for the upcoming season.

More are expected to follow, with the likes of Alfie Devine, Ashley Phillips, and potentially, Will Lankshear also expected to head out.

It has now emerged that another of the side in the form of Jude Soonsup-Bell will be the next Under-21s player to depart Hotspur Way, but on a permanent basis rather than on loan.

Fabrizio Romano revealed on Wednesday that the deal to take the 20-year-old to Spanish second-division side Cordoba has been agreed.

Kinsella has now explained that the centre-forward was keen to move abroad rather than abroad rather than drop down to the EFL.

He added that Tottenham will have a 40 per cent sell-on clause on the centre-forward, thus allowing them to profit from any future sale.

Fellow academy prospect Yago Santiago also sealed a permanent move to Spain last month when he moved Elche, who also play in the second tier.

Spurs Web Opinion

With Lankshear, Scarlett and Veliz ahead of Sonnup-Bell in the pecking order, this news does not come as a surprise, with the former Chelsea man evidently not seeing a pathway for him to break into the Tottenham first-team.

We wish him the best of luck as he looks to continue his career in Spain.
