Ryan Duncan joins Queen’s Park on season loan from Aberdeen
Queen’s Park have secured the services of exciting Aberdeen attacker Ryan Duncan on a season long temporary transfer.
The 20-year-old who has been capped for Scotland at four different age groups, including under-21 level, will not be a stranger to Spiders supporters as he found the net against Queen’s Park (along with Grant Savoury) whilst on-loan at Peterhead back in April 2022.
Whilst at the Blue Toon, Ryan made 17 appearances and scored three times, and having made his Dons debut the year before in a game against Rangers at Ibrox, he has amassed over 50 appearances in Red and White colours including three games in this season’s Premier Sports Cup.
Queen’s Park’s Head Coach Callum Davidson said: “We have been looking to add some more attacking intent to our squad, so I am delighted to bring in Ryan. We knew there was a possibility of Ryan being available on loan a couple of weeks ago and instantly made contact with Aberdeen.
“Ryan came down, we showed him around the club and worked hard to convince him to come here. He is dangerous with both feet and can create chances for others as well.
“It is an exciting move for him and for us.”
Director of Football at Queen’s Park Darren O’Donnell said: “The approach we have taken to recruitment this summer has been one of being patient to ensure that we get the right players in.
“Ryan was a target a few weeks ago and we had to show patience to see what his availability was going to be, and then be patient again after we had made our pitch especially after the clubs drew each other in The Premier Sports Cup.
“We were delighted when we learned that he saw Queen’s Park as the perfect club to come to and that Aberdeen agreed. I am looking forward to seeing him in action.”
