New dates announced for two key Man Utd fixtures in October

0 2

Manchester United have announced new dates for two important fixtures in October.

The Red Devils will start the 2024-25 Premier League campaign on August 16 when they welcome Fulham to Old Trafford.

United were scheduled to visit Aston Villa on October 5, while a meeting at West Ham United was set to be played on October 26.

However, the club will now take on Villa on October 6 with the match televised live on Sky Sports (2.00 pm).

The encounter with West Ham will take place on October 27 but the game is not earmarked for live television coverage.

Man United’s pre-season tour in the United States has ended and all eyes are now on their FA Community Shield final with Manchester City on August 10.

The two sides last met in the FA Cup final over two months ago when United recorded a 2-1 victory, thanks to goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo.

Erik ten Hag was under pressure at that time but he outsmarted Pep Guardiola to keep his position at Old Trafford.

The Dutch manager has received good backing in the transfer market, with the club spending over £90 million on Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee.

However, the 2024-25 campaign is expected to be challenging as they are already dealing with several injury issues
