Tottenham transfer could be finalised at ‘any minute’ for at least £13m – Paul O’Keefe

Tottenham Insider Paul O’Keefe reports that Emerson Royal’s proposed move to AC Milan could be finalised at any minute, with the two clubs only having to agree on the details of the performance-based add-ons.

The negotiations between Spurs and Milan seemingly started right at the start of the summer but it now finally looks as though the transfer saga is about to come to an end.

Reports from Italy over the last few days have indicated that a guaranteed fee has now been agreed between the two clubs, with the right-back expected to travel to Milan for a medical once the final details are sorted out (Sportmediaset via MilanNews24).

This has now been backed up by O’Keefe, who revealed that a fee of between £13m and £15m has been struck, with the two sides now discussing about the specifics of the add-on portion of the fee.

A deal could go through at any moment

The Tottenham insider said on the Last Word on Spurs YouTube channel: “The fee is something like between £13-15m guaranteed and then one or two million pounds in add-ons.

“Daniel [Levy] has been arguing about how the add-ons are accumulated and how easily achievable they are as far as I understand.

“Everyone keeps saying that will happen. At the end of the day, Spurs need to move him on, so the anticipation is that can happen any minute.”

With the Tottenham squad having returned from their pre-season trip to Asia, one would expect this deal to accelerate and for Emerson to make his way to Italy over the next few days to finalise the transfer.

It seems like Spurs will get a pretty decent fee for the right-back, which hopefully will go towards signing another player this summer.
