A round-up of the club’s community activity during the month of July.
Quay Celtic U10 Girls
A massive word of thanks to the Quay Celtic U10 girls’ team who were our flag bearers at the Louth Derby with Drogheda United.
Community Boot Room
We officially opened the Community Boot Room on July 5th.
The initiative will enable children and families without boots and equipment to take part in sporting activities by availing of the donations made to our Community Boot Room.
Initially, we have started with football and GAA boots and equipment and hope to branch out to other sports in the future through donations for the community.
The Community Boot Room is supported by our Community Sustainability Partner, Dundalk Credit Union, Dundalk Paint Store, The Toolbox and Louth Local Sports Partnership.
Located in the YDC at Oriel Park, The Community Boot Room will be open from 9am-9pm Monday to Friday, by contacting one of the key holders that will be on the premises.
If you would like to donate football boots or any sports equipment that are in good condition, you can contact aoife.burns@dundalkfc.com or drop them into Dundalk Credit Union on Market Street, Dundalk Paint Store, Lisdoo or into Louth Local Sports Partnership at Dundalk Sports Centre in Muirhevnamor.

Summer Camps
In association with Rock Salt, we held two successful summer camps in July and still have limited places on our two remaining camps which take place from August 12th-15th and August 19th-22nd. The cost is €80 per child and each camp runs from 10am to 1.30pm.

North East Thunder Bucket Collection
North East Thunder wheelchair basketball club held a collection before the Louth Derby with Drogheda United on July 12th.
The club, which has been running for over 12 years, aims to get children and adults with physical disabilities in the local community involved in a competitive sport.
Currently, there are 22 children and 12 seniors playing for North East Thunder with its senior team competing in the National Wheelchair League while a number of the club’s players represent Ireland at senior, women’s and U23 level.
The club is self-funded and relies on fundraising to ensure its players have the appropriate sports wheelchairs to participate in a game they love.

Irish Wheelchair Association Dundalk Centre
The Irish Wheelchair Association school leaver service in Dundalk caters for young adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.
It provides each user with a person-centred service catered to their needs, wants, values and abilities and service users have a valued social role in the community of Dundalk and take part in many great programmes and activities.
One of the programmes that the service users recently took part in was a workshop facilitated by Dundalk FC.
Players, coaches and inclusion officers attended the Irish Wheelchair Association Dundalk Centre and taught the users some football skills and drills.
There was plenty of fun and laughs on the day and we would like to thank the Irish Wheelchair Association for the passion and enthusiasm that their users showed on the day.

Tuath Housing Summer Camp
Dundalk FC welcomed 40 children to Oriel Park recently for the Tuath Housing Summer Camp programme where the participants had a fun and action-packed week of football.

Football For All Camp
In conjunction with PayPal and the FAI, the club recently held two Football For All camps for children aged 6-13 with additional needs.
The camps were based around fun games and activities, as well as learning the basics of football.
We would like to thank our Official Community Partners PayPal and Paul Smyth from the FAI for their assistance with both camps.
