Leeds in pole position to land ‘greatest bargain of summer’
In the next few weeks, Leeds United are expected to be in the market for a full-back.
The Whites are now being linked to a move for a Spanish left-back.
Hugo Bueno, who plays for Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers, is a target for Leeds United and Celtic, according to TEAMtalk journalist James Marshment.
Although Junior Firpo and Jayden Bogle appear to be Daniel Farke’s ideal starting full-back combination, there is still some concern about the depth in the squad.
In terms of new players arriving at Elland Road, the summer has been successful thus far. Joe Rodon, a permanent addition from Tottenham, is one such addition.
Hugo Bueno, Wolves’ defender, may be available on a loan move for Leeds United.
After missing out on promotion to the Premier League last season, the Whites have struggled off the pitch and players have left them this summer.
The biggest exit is that of Crysencio Summerville who has joined West Ham United. Archie Gray has moved to Tottenham in another major blow.
The Whites are now looking to add depth and quality to their squad in order to make it to the Premier League next season and they are one of the favourites in the Championship to do so.
Daniel Farke has a strong base at Elland Road and with just a few more additions, he can take the Whites back to England’s top flight.
Bueno plays as a back up for Rayan Ait-Nouri and a move away from Wolves might just be what his career needs at this stage.
Leeds will have to beat competition from Celtic to sign the Spanish defender.
