Football Transfers claim that Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Eberechi Eze is now looking complicated to pull off, with the North London club failing to make much headway in talks.

The report says that Spurs’ talks with Palace over Eze are now ‘stalling’, thus potentially forcing the Lilywhites to look at other alternatives instead.

The two clubs have allegedly not been able to agree on the price nor are they seeing eye-to-eye in terms of the payment structure for the attacking midfielder.

The outlet rubbishes claims that Eze has a release clause in his contract but states that the player has a gentlemen’s agreement with Palace that he would be allowed to leave for €70m.

Spurs do not want to pay Eberechi Eze’s price tag

However, as things stand, Spurs nor any other side have not shown any inclination to pay that fee for the England international.

The publication adds that it now looks ‘increasingly likely’ that Eze will remain at Selhurst Park beyond this summer.

Tottenham may have to shift their attention to other targets if they want to reinforce Postecoglou’s attacking line this season.
