National Team Boss Recommends West Ham Move To Star

0 4

West Ham United transfer target Niclas Fullkrug has spoken to Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann and his coaching staff and has been told that his chances of making it to the 2026 World Cup will increase by playing regularly in the Premier League.

Fullkrug has emerged as a priority transfer target for the Hammers, who have been making progress in talks with the 31-year-old’s club side Borussia Dortmund.

New manager Nuri Sahin is also believed to have given the green signal to the move if a fee is agreed between the two teams.

While the structure of the deal and personal terms are finalised, the striker has been given some pieces of advice by his national team manager.

According to German broadcaster Sky Deutschland, the player has spoken with manager Nagelsmann and his assistants Sandro Wagner and Benjamin Gluck.

All three have recommended Fullkrug make the move to West Ham, insisting that playing regularly in the English top-flight will increase his chances of being selected in the Germany team for the 2026 World Cup.

West Ham have tabled a bid of €25m for Fullkrug but are yet to receive a response from Dortmund, who are suggested to want more money.

He finished last season with 26 goal contributions as Dortmund managed to reach the final of the Champions League.

West Ham turned to Fullkrug after Aston Villa refused to lower their asking price for Jhon Duran.
