What Ange Postecoglou screamed at his Spurs players during K-League clash

Tottenham defeated the best of the Korean league on Wednesday afternoon in an end-to-end 4-3 thriller, but Ange Postecoglou had to kick his players into gear during the first half with a profanity-filled rant.

Ange Postecoglou was not happy

While Spurs may have come out on top by the final whistle, when the players took a water break at the midway point in the first half, Postecoglou expressed how displeased he was with his team.

The team talk was captured on TV (via talkSPORT), in which Postecoglou screamed: “I’ve got one f***ing thing to say. We go and have a crack. We’re going on the press, man for man. Just go man for man!”

Those instructions clearly did the trick, as the Lilywhites went on to score three goals before the interval. Heung-min Son scored two fine goals in his homeland, while Dejan Kulusevski bagged another to keep his good run of form going.

Spurs were made to work in the second half, though, with Stanislav Iljutcenko registering a quickfire double to get the K-League XI back in the game.

Will Lankshear, on as a substitute, put Spurs out of reach with just over 20 minutes to go, before the K-League side got themselves back to within one goal late on.

Spurs are unbeaten in pre-season

Tottenham now have five wins from five this summer. After dispatching Cambridge United, Hearts, and QPR in the UK, Postecoglou’s men have scored two victories from two on their tour of Asia.

Next up, though, is a far sterner test against Bayern Munich on Saturday.

You have to love this from Ange, especially given it was in a friendly. He demands the absolute best from the players and they give it to him, and that can only lead to great things for this team.
