Leeds United May Find Target’s Price Too High, Yet To Follow Up Initial Enquiry

0 8

Leeds United are yet to follow up after making contact for a player and the bidding for him may go too high, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Daniel Farke is moving on a number of transfer targets and the club’s recruitment chiefs held talks in Germany, where the Whites have had a pre-season camp, recently.

Following the exits of a host of players, including Diego Llorente, Marc Roca and Charlie Cresswell, Leeds are not thought to have a need for further sales.

The club can concentrate on incomings and they recently asked about Blackburn Rovers attacker Sammie Szmodics.

He top scored in the Championship last season, also striking at Elland Road, and is wanted by Premier League new boys Ipswich Town.

Leeds have not yet followed up on their initial enquiry about signing Szmodics.

It is suggested that the bidding for the Blackburn man may go too high for Leeds.

Szmodics is someone Blackburn are prepared to let go this summer, but only for the right price.
