Report: ‘Practically tied up’ – Spurs are close to their eighth outgoing of the summer

Sport report that Tottenham are now close to securing their eighth outgoing of a busy summer transfer window, with another deal now ‘practically tied up’.

Tottenham have wasted no time kickstarting their rebuild under Ange Postecoglou this summer, not only with the signings of Archie Gray and Timo Werner (loan), but also with seven outgoings.

Joe Rodon was sold to Leeds United as a part of the Gray deal, but Spurs have also parted ways with six others. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has joined Marseille on a loan deal with an obligation to buy him for around £17m (BBC).

Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic, Japhet Tanganga, Ryan Sessegnon, and Tanguy Ndombele also waved goodbye to Hotspur Way over the past two months (TransferMarkt).

Bryan Gil to Girona is getting closer

Tottenham officially announced that Bryan Gil and Sergio Reguilon had been left out of the pre-season tour of Asia in order to pursue potential transfers away this summer.

Gil appears to be close to securing his North London exit, with Girona in advanced talks with the Lilywhites over a deal this week.

The transfer is said to be ‘practically tied up’ and a loan with an option to buy is one of the most viable options, but the exact figures and details of the deal are yet to be released.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Tottenham surely won’t do a loan with an option to buy again this summer. I fully expect it to be a loan with an obligation to buy for somewhere between £5m and £10m.

Spurs seem a little more ruthless in their outgoings this summer and are willing to take a hit on the transfer fee to get this Postecoglou rebuild moving.
