Archie Gray reflects on his ‘crazy’ start to life at Spurs with Ben Davies and Heung-min Son
Tottenham Hotspur fans are excited to see what Archie Gray can do at the club, and the teenager is loving his time in North London so far. But, he explains the whole situation has been a little ‘crazy’ as there are players here that he has watched and admired for years.
Gray looks up to experienced Spurs stars
At the age of just 18, it’s safe to say Gray only has a fleeting experience of what Tottenham are all about and the players at the club.
But, speaking to the official Tottenham social media, Gray revealed he can’t wait to share a field with some key players: “It has been brilliant so far. I have enjoyed training a lot and just getting to know everyone. It has been a bit crazy.
“I have been watching them on TV since I was fifteen, perhaps even younger. Especially Ben [Davies] and people like Son – they are players I have looked up to. It is just mental to think that I will hopefully be playing with them. It has been good so far.”
Tottenham veterans
At this point, Davies and Son are the two longest-serving members of the Spurs squad. The former is currently celebrating a decade with the Lilywhites, while the club captain will reach the same milestone next summer.
Gray joined Spurs at the start of July and has been handed a six-year contract with the club. He will wear the number 14 shirt for Tottenham this season and could well be heavily involved with the first team despite his tender age.

Hopefully, we can look back on this in ten years’ time and be talking about the impact and influence Archie Gray has had at Spurs in the same vein as we discuss Son and Davies.
Gray’s ceiling is so high, and if we get the best out of him, we could have a generational talent on our hands.
