Report: Positive injury update on Lucas Bergvall ahead of Tottenham’s next pre-season friendly

Football London provide a positive update on Lucas Bergvall’s injury today, after the new Tottenham midfielder was removed from action after just 26 minutes against QPR.

Tottenham fans all around the world were excited to get their first glimpse of Lucas Bergvall in a starting XI last week against QPR, only for the Swedish starlet to pick up an early injury.

The former Djurgardens star looked to be dictating play nicely from a deep-lying midfield position before he picked up a knock with just 26 minutes on the clock.

Ange Postecoglou took no chances with the teenager, but revealed after the game that it was not expected to be a serious injury.

The Spurs boss told SpursPLAY after the game (20/07/24 – 5:09 pm): “Just a bit sore, I don’t think it was anything significant.”

Lucas Bergvall is back in training already

It seems the Tottenham manager was correct in his assessment as Bergvall has been spotted back in training already ahead of the club’s pre-season match against Vissel Kobe on Saturday.

Football London report that Bergvall merely needed a couple of days of rest after the knock before he returned to the training pitches in Tokyo this morning.

It appears that the Swede will be in line to play a part in the fixture against Vissel Kobe, as well as the two friendlies scheduled for South Korea – Team K-League and Bayern Munich.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I’m so thankful this wasn’t anything serious. It would have been typical Tottenham to have one of our young starlets cut down by injury just a week after he arrived at the club.

Hopefully, we can see Bergvall dictate the pace of the game more against Vissel Kobe after his promising cameo against QPR last week.
