K-State football's Panzer, Sigle share expectations for 2024 on K-Nation

LAS VEGAS, NV. (KSNT) - Wildcat fans can be on the lookout for veteran guidance in the 2024-25 season with seniors Marques Sigle and Hadley Panzer looking to step up.

K-State defensive back Marques Sigle and offensive lineman Hadley Panzer joined 27 Sports Director Glenn Kinley for one-on-one interviews while at Big 12 football media days in Las Vegas.

"Stepping up that mentality, I have experience, I did all this before," Sigle said of earning a spot to represent the Wildcats at media days. "So changing my mindset, ever since then each week it's gotten better and I've been looked at as a leader."

Sigle acknowledged K-State assistant head coach and cornerbacks coach Van Malone as a trustworthy role model. His fellow senior, Panzer, detailed offensive coordinator Connor Riley's expectations for the offensive line, despite having a different role with the team heading into 2024.

"Coach Riley being the OC, doesn't change anything from him, he's going to show up and be the same person every single day," Panzer said. "It's on us as leaders in the offensive line, that whenever he is gone we're maximizing our time and that there is no slacking."

Panzer recognizes the 'Cats offensive line has big shoes to fill with the departure of players like Cooper Beebe and Hayden Gillum, who left for professional opportunities.

K-State's opens the season at home on Aug. 31 against UT Martin.
