Hibs will take on MSV Duisburg in a friendly on Wednesday 3 July, kick-off 2pm BST.

As part of their Netherlands training camp, David Gray’s men will face the German outfit in a behind-closed-doors fixture.

The game will give Gray and his coaching staff another opportunity to get minutes into the legs of the squad, as well as a first chance to see some of our new signings in Hibs action.

Goalkeeper Josef Bursik made his non-competitive debut in Hibernian’s 5-0 win over Edinburgh City, while centre-back additions Warren O’Hora and Marvin Ekpiteta could play in green and white for the first time against MSV.

Chris Cadden, Dylan Levitt, Harry McKirdy, Reuben McAllister and Josh Campbell all scored in a convincing win for the Hibees in the pre-season opener at Meadowbank.

Promising youngsters Kanayo Megwa, Rory Whittaker and Rudi Molotnikov have been included in the training camp squad and could get another chance to impress the Head Coach on Wednesday.

The Hibees’ opponents in the Netherlands, MSV Duisburg, are based in Western Germany.

Nicknamed the Zebras and coached by Dietmar Hirsch, they currently play in the fourth tier of German football having been relegated from the 3. Liga in 2023/24.

As this fixture is a behind-closed-doors friendly, no access to supporters is permitted.

Updates will be available on Hibernian’s social media channels, while there will also be a match report and highlights available after the game.

Following Wednesday’s game, the squad will face two more days of intense training before a friendly against Greek champions, PAOK.

Tickets for the PAOK game are available to supporters here.
