Latest Player Update

0 3

A number of players from our impressive end to last season have committed to us for the upcoming Vanarama National League South campaign.

Ricky Holmes (11)

The experienced winger is back for his fourth consecutive season!

Ricky will be returning as a Player-Coach for 2024/25.

The 37-year-old said: “Holmes is back in the building!”

“Looking forward to another season building and pushing on. Lovely stuff.”

Connor Cullen (14)

The skilful striker makes a return to the Saunders Transport Community Stadium for the new season!

Cullen found the net on five occasions last season – including a Goal of the Season contender for his finish in a home draw with Bath City last November. He spent the second half of the campaign with Westfield and then Hanwell Town.

Connor added: “Where better to play football next season?”

“Ready to give it a good go. Up the Boro!”

Olly Pendlebury (15)

The 22-year-old has extended his stay at the Saunders Transport Community Stadium for a further two seasons.

Olly has signed a two-year contract with the Club, tying him down until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Despite missing the first two months of last season, the highly-rated midfielder went on to bag eight goals, making just over 40 appearances in total.

Pendlebury commented: “I’m buzzing to sign, a place I can call home.”

“I can’t wait to play in front of all the fans again and go that one step further this season.”

Farnborough Manager Spencer Day: “A real statement of intent with our first two-year deal to secure a vital player for Boro.

“Despite interest from big clubs, I’m delighted we can show real progress in the club’s ambition in both securing our best young talent, without never forgetting that we know we are a great platform for players to go into the EFL, whilst helping Boro.”

“Still such a young man – with I’m sure a big EFL future ahead – but in the meantime gives us goals and structure from centre midfield.”

Taylor Clark (18)

Taylor will be back in yellow and blue!

The young midfielder returns on loan from League One outfit Wycombe Wanderers until January 2025.

Clark said: “Really happy to be back at Farnborough.

“Buzzing to get started. Let’s start the season how we finished it!”

Farnborough Manager Spencer Day: “I’m very grateful to Wycombe loaning us Taylor until January.

“For such a young man, he played an important part in our successful run in and will only get better with time.”
