Report: Club remain hopeful of agreeing a double deal with Spurs this summer

0 19

According to the print edition of Corriere dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness) while AC Milan’s pursuit of Emerson Royal is further along than their attempts to sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, the Italian club remain hopeful of being able to bring both players to the San Siro.

AC Milan want Hojbjerg and Emerson Royal

It has been reported by various Italian outlets that Milan are interested in deals for Emerson and Hojbjerg and Corriere now bring the latest regarding their advances towards the Tottenham pair.

They claim that Emerson has already agreed to ‘reduce his wages’ to suit the Serie A side’s budget and is very keen on making the move.

The report says that Rossoneri already have a personal agreement in place with the right-back and are now working on an agreement with Tottenham.

Spurs are willing to sell Hojbjerg and Emerson

The Premier League side wants €25m while they are hoping to complete the deal for less than €20m.

It is pointed out that a deal for Hojbjerg is far less advanced, although the midfielder is said to be keen to leave Spurs and wants to move to a Champions League club.

However, there is thought to be some confidence among the Milan hierarchy that a deal for the Denmark international can be struck.

Spurs Web Opinion

Any negotiations for Hojbjeg will likely have to wait until Denmark’s Euro campaign is over while a deal for Emerson is within Milan’s reach if they pay Tottenham’s asking price.

I do not expect Spurs to offer the Serie A side too much of a discount on the Brazilian.
