Report: Striker target is being offered around amid links with Tottenham

It turns out that Tottenham might have to deal with additional competition for Tammy Abraham, with Il Tempo (as relayed by Roma Press) now reporting that AC Milan are eyeing a move for the Roma star.

A number of outlets have suggested over the last few weeks that Abraham could be set for a return to the Premier League this summer, with Tottenham named as a potential destination for the centre-forward.

The latest to make that claim was GiveMeSport, who reported a few days ago that while Abraham is not at the top of Ange Postecoglou’s striker wishlist, Spurs could make a move for him later in the window.

It was explained that the fact that the 26-year-old is homegrown and has Premier League experience appeals to Ange Postecoglou’s side, who might pursue him if their pursuits of Ivan Toney and Santiago Gimenez fall through.

The report claimed that Tottenham might face competition from the likes of West Ham and Aston Villa for the former Chelsea star’s services.

Is moving to Milan on the cards for Abraham?

According to Il Tempo’s latest update, Milan have now also emerged as a contender for Abraham’s signature.

The report says that the striker is certain to leave the Stadio Olimpico this summer and his representatives have now offered him to the Rossoneri.

At the moment, Milan are said to be focused on landing Joshua Zirkzee but with the negotiations for the Bologna star proving difficult, it is said that they could turn their attention to Abraham.

Abraham would be an extremely underwhelming signing for Tottenham, even if he is signed as a squad player.

There is very little evidence to suggest that the 26-year-old is good enough to lead the line for a club with Champions League aspirations.
