Spurs have not opened negotiations to sign 22-year-old target yet – Journalist
According to journalist Bruno Andrade, although Tottenham had made contact to express their interest in Vanderson, the North London club have not begun negotiations with Monaco regarding the Brazilian.
Tottenham are interested in Vanderson
It was UOL who first reported two weeks ago that Tottenham had identified Vanderson as a potential replacement for Emerson Royal, who is expected to depart Spurs this summer.
It has subsequently emerged that the Lilywhites could face quite a bit of competition for the 22-year-old, who is also alleged to be on the radars of Napoli, Barcelona and Manchester United (GiveMeSport).
A few days ago, Fabrizio Romano also backed up Spurs’ interest in Vanderson, confirming that Ange Postecoglou’s men ‘appreciate’ the Brazil international.
Spurs have not opened talks for Vanderson yet
He revealed that Monaco would want a fee of over €40m (£33.8m) to let the full-back leave the Louis II Stadium this summer.
The same fee has now also been mentioned by Andrade, who has taken to social media to state that Ange Postecoglou’s men had conducted a ‘survey’ about Vanderson.
However, the journalist made it clear that there have been no official negotiations between the Ligue 1 side and the Premier League side about the right-back until now.

Rather than going for an out-and-out right-back like Vanderson or Kyle Walker-Peters, I would not be surprised if Spurs decided to sign a player like Nikola Milenkovic, who can cover for both centre-back and right-back, thus addressing two areas at once.
£34m is also too much to pay for someone who is largely going to be Pedro Porro’s back-up.
