DEVS DEPARTS

0 2

Royston Town can confirm that Dan Evans, manager of the Club’s Under 23 side has decided to leave Garden Walk.

Dan leaves the Club having led the u23’s to a creditable midtable finish in their first season at Step 6 including a 16 game winning streak and a heartbreaking penalty shoot-out defeat in the Herts FA Senior Cup Final.

Commenting on his departure Devs had this message for everyone at the club including players, volunteers and supporters:

“It is with a heavy heart, that I have made the decision to step away from the managerial position of Royston Town u23’s, to start a new chapter in my football journey.

Over the past few years, I have had the incredible privilege of working alongside dedicated players, staff, volunteers & supporters. Together, we have celebrated victories, learned from defeats, and built a strong pathway for the youth something that I will always cherish.

This decision was not an easy one, but I believe it is the right time for me to move on to new challenges and opportunities. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved and do not doubt that the club will continue to thrive and reach new heights in the seasons to come.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone associated with the club, the players for their hard work and commitment, the staff for their unwavering support, and the Chairman and Board for their backing and for giving me the opportunity. You have all made my time here truly special. Thank you for the memories and for allowing me to be a part of the Royston Town family. I wish the club every success in the future and will always be a supporter.

Many thanks and best wishes,

Dan. Up the Crows! ⚪⚫

Club Chairman Steve Jackson said:

“We are all sad to see Dan leave the Club as he has done a fantastic job during his time at Garden Walk. He has played a pivotal role in the recent successes of  both the Under 23’s and the Under 18’s. His successes are evidenced by the number of players that he has brought through to the First Team. He will be missed by everyone at Garden Walk, and we wish him every success in his football career.”
