Past Players Golf Day 3^rd May 2024

The Official Wigan Athletic Supporters Club, have teamed up with Wigan Athletic, Wigan Athletic Heritage and the Wigan Athletic Past Players Association, to bring a fantastic day of golf.

Usually the Past Players Association have their own tournament at the end of the season, playing for the Harry Sharrat Memorial Trophy, but this year that have opened it up to fans to play with them in an extended team event.

We are limited to just 24 pairs, playing in a four ball with 2 Latics legends. So the first to register and pay, will be first on the list, once the places are sold, that will be it until (hopefully) next year, if we can make this an annual event.

The Day will begin, mingling with Latics greats at registration, with a Bacon Barm and a drink. You will then find out who you are paired with, before you go off to the first tee to receive your Latics Golf Goodie Bag and a photo of your group.

Play 18 holes of Ashton in Makerfield Golf Club with your 2 past players, and drink at the half way point. There will be prizes for longest drive and 4 nearest the pin holes, plus a grand prize for the winning team and runners up.

After the golf, there will be time to relax and mingle with the other past players and guests, before an evening meal with prize presentation and entertainment.

The price per pair is £200, a bargain for what is on offer.

Registration on the day will be from 10.00am, with tee times from 11.00am until 2.00pm. Evening meal will be at 7.30pm, presentations will be around 9.30pm. So this is a full day, there is shower facilities at the Golf Club to freshen up.

There are some sponsorship options available too, for longest drive holes, and nearest the pins, first tee and half way drinks bar, and 10^th tee. Please use the same email to gather more details on these, again they will be offered on a first come basis.
