Harry Kane set to return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after latest announcement
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Bayern Munich will come to North London to play a pre-season friendly ahead of the start of the 2023-24 season.
Harry Kane perhaps did not get a chance to say a proper goodbye to Spurs fans when he left last summer, with the move happening just days before the new Premier League season kicked off.
As many expected, the striker is breaking all sorts of records in Germany, although everything has not gone according to plan for Bayern Munich, who currently sit 10 points behind Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the table.
Harry Kane set for Spurs return this summer
It remains to be seen if Kane manages to get his hand on silverware this season but he could soon have an opportunity to lift a trophy at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spurs have now confirmed that Bayern will be their opponents for the Visit Malta Cup on Saturday 10th August, before the new Premier League season gets underway.
Spurs Web Opinion
This pre-season friendly was likely agreed between the two clubs while they were negotiating the Harry Kane deal last summer. I expect the 30-year-old striker to get a good reception from the Tottenham faithful when he returns to his old stomping ground.
