Koopmeiners has continued to develop impressively since swapping AZ Alkmaar for Atalanta back in 2021, with the midfielder now widely recognised as one of the best in his position in Serie A.
Although the 25-year-old primarily plays as a number six for both his club and the Netherlands national side, he is capable of operating in a box-to-box role or even as a number eight.
TuttoSport have now alleged that the interest in the player’s services is now heating up ahead of the summer, with clubs from England and Italy circling over him.
Tottenham face competition for Teun Koopmeiners
The report says that Tottenham have now entered the picture and have ‘already knocked’ on the door for the midfielder, who is alleged to be keen on making a step up to a bigger club at the end of the season.
It is revealed that Manchester United are also circling over Koopmeiners, with the Red Devils’ interest in the player thought to be driven by Erik Ten Hag.
The outlet states that Atalanta would only part ways with their key man if they receive an offer of around €60m (£51.2m) for him next summer.
TuttoSport add that Juventus have also reached out to Koopmeiners’ representatives regarding a move to Turin but it is pointed out that the aforementioned fee and competition from the Premier League has complicated the Old Lady’s pursuit.

Koopmeiners could well be another Fabio Paratici recommendation, with the Italian (who works as a consultant for Spurs) tending to keep a close eye on the best-emerging talent in Serie A.
Given the success Tottenham have had with their recruits from Italy over the past few years, one would not rule out a move for the Atalanta star next summer, although the price could prove prohibitive.
