[Women's Soccer] BENU Riding Three-Game Streak
Benedictine Mesa went 3-0 last week, outscoring opponents 13-2 and started Cal Pac play at 2-0. The two conference wins kept the Redhawks in a tie at the top of the California Pacific Conference standings with Embry-Riddle. Those two teams will not meet on the field until the regular season finale on Oct. 29. In Tuesday's non-conference matchup with Arizona Christian, BENU scored early and late to register a 2-1 win, and then the Redhawks' offense soared. On Friday BENU rolled past Cal Maritime 8-0 as Dahlia Alonso recorded a hat trick and Hannah Wood added a pair of scores. On Sunday, the Redhawks topped Pacific Union 3-1 with Baylie Saunders scoring two goals and Jada Barnett adding the final tally.
