Arsenal lead race to sign Leeds United’s Raphinha?

0 2

Arsenal have got themselves in pole position in the race for Raphinha from Leeds United.

The 25-year-old forward has attracted interest from a number of clubs after scoring 11 goals in 35 English top flight appearances last season.

Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and FC Barcelona have all been linked with the Brazil international, while the Gunners have reportedly had a bid turned down, as manager Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his attacking options.

However, the Athletic are reporting that the north Londoners have reportedly taken the lead in the race to sign the Brazilian with further discussions set to be held with the player’s representatives.

Arsenal are reportedly growing confident that they can get a deal done, with the club set to make a fresh bid for the winger.

Raphinha is under contract with the Whites until 2024, and is believed to be open to a move to Arsenal.
