How would you all feel if a bit oil rich sheik came in and bought you out? Would you feel nervous in case they just do what your current owners have and, indeed a few rich owners have done to several clubs over the years and just used the club for its own purpose.
Would you prefer it if you were brought out by a rich-ish local owner who cared about the club but could never realistically compete with the big boys but put his heart and soul and a good bit of money in, a bit like us with Gibson.
Also, would you still feel like it was “your club” if a rich sheik took over?
To be honest I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens to you in the near future as a club in a city your size would have potentially a huge fan base.
You’ve got a large airport and with the advent of HS2 you have the potential to be a sleeping giant all ready to be woken up by a big business man.
Also, my dog is asleep on the settee next to me and keeps farting and they stink! ????
