Video: ‘Tottenham are a bunch of perennial losers’ – Former PL chairman defends Mourinho
Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has claimed that there is a media bias against Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese’s Tottenham side passed up the opportunity to go fourth in the Premier League table on Sunday when they were held to a 2-2 draw at Newcastle United.
Jordan believes that Mourinho offered nothing more than a factual answer when after the match at St James’ Park he was reminded by the media that his teams were famous for holding on to leads in the past and replied to the BBC with: “Same coach, different players.”
The talkSPORT co-host claimed that when Mourinho defends his very same players, the media are not so quick to write articles.
He described the Spurs squad as a bunch of perennial losers who haven’t won anything and have come up short in the FA Cup, Champions League and Premier League while Mourinho has been a serial winner at every club he has managed.
“#Mourinho’s answer is factual. Same coach, different players.”
“The same players that he defends regularly but is never written about.”
“#THFC are a bunch of perennial losers & haven’t won anything!”
