Week One - Youth Section Surge Ahead
The first week of the challenge saw the Youth Section surge into a commanding lead. Perhaps taking advantage of half term to put the miles in, they clocked up 1,386 miles - enough to see them visit 47 of the 92 grounds. Currently they find themselves at Hull City's KCOM Stadium.
Huge credit is due to members of the seventeen youth sides whose managers submitted their miles for this week - with the Under 7s, 12 Blues, 14 Blues, 14 Yellows and Under 18s making particularly strong contributions.
They lead the Senior Section, whose 807 miles have taken them around 27 grounds, with their most recent 'visit' being to West Ham United's London Stadium.
The Development team have led the charge for them, recording 702 miles - by far the most of any team at the club.
The Veterans Section are hot on their heels though, having recorded 708 miles. While that has meant they have visited only fifteen grounds, they are still within touching distance of the Senior Section with grounds in London next on their list. They are currently in Kent at Gillingham's Priestfield Stadium.
The Ladies and Girls Section are currently in fourth, having travelled 582 miles. Huge credit goes to the Under 9 Girls for putting more than 100 miles in the bank. They currently find themselves at Fratton Park, home of Portsmouth.
Although, there is plenty of catching up to do for the Senior, Ladies and Girls and Veterans sections, the race to do the 92 is still on. And the Youth Section certainly can't get complacent...
