Kris Temple reported for BBC Radio Solent Sport on Monday morning that AFC Bournemouth would announce the signing of Jack Wilshere that same day. Wilshere is joining on an initial deal to the end of the season.

As long as Wilshere’s EFL registration is complete by noon today, he’ll be eligible to feature for Bournemouth against Derby County tomorrow.

Sky Sports also confirmed the deal, adding that it should be signed within the next 24 hours.

Wilshere has been training with Bournemouth to keep up his fitness levels, following his release from West Ham United. So it’s not impossible he joins the matchday action very quickly after signing, as he’s already had time to settle with the squad.

As you may remember, Wilshere spent the 2016/17 season on loan with Bournemouth, making 27 appearances before a leg break ruled him out for the rest of the campaign. It looks like we’ll see him back playing in their colours again very shortly.
