Netflix Series: Mindhunter (5 replies)

Quite good. Fbi agents go around interviewing killers and getting into their mindset on why they do these hideous acts.

What I didn't realise after watching it is that they are based on real murderers from the 70's. One that particularly is oddly interesting is edmund kemper. I highly recommend reading the guys Wikipedia page it's absolutely fecking mental the shit he did.

What's interesting about it is The dude is self confessed perfectly sane, he is a very intelligent individual (minus his crimes) with an IQ of 145.

He killed loads of hitch hiking girls in the 70's. But it's how he is so open and self aware of the stuff he did and he relates it to his abuse as a child and how his mother basically raised him. Emotionally impotent/neglected, verbally abused and just had an overall awful relationship with her.

He used to carry decapitated bodies up his mums stairs and shag them for a week and then get rid. 8-)

In the end, long story short he decided his mom had got to go, smashed his mums skull in with a claw hammer, cut off her head, fecked it and then he said he felt some sort of catharsis and turned himself in to the rozzers, as he said to himself 'this has got to stop'. It had come to a 'head' no pun intended.

It's not a pleasant read by any means it's grim.... but rarely do you hear of a serial killer who is so self aware, elaborate about his thought process and emotions while Carrying out such terrifying acts.

If you're into documentarys there's a couple of interviews of him on yotube.

The series is good too and the actor who portrays him is very good.
