Yep, just look at the bottom of the PL to see how good football is compared to even 15 years ago. Albeit, that is skewed towards English football. I'm sure Italians would say it's much worse than it was in the 90s because they are no longer even close to being the dominant league they once were.
But I do think my point re information overload is valid and not just millennial ache. There is both too much football and too much access to content, IMO. A menu is much more appealing when there are fewer dishes.
