My conspiracy theory of the day (5 replies)
Man City have a 50% sell-on clause on Tommy Doyle for anything over £4.3 million - that isn't the conspiracy, that's a fact
Wolves actually value him at £6.5 million (or whatever)
We will loan him for one season with an agreed option to buy at £4.3 million and the loan fee will be £1.7 million for the one season (for the shenanigan reason below)
Therefore Man City get nothing for their 50%
Blues get the £6.5 million player for £4.3m + £1.7m = £6m
Wolves get a profit of £1.7 million instead of (£6.5m-4.3m)/2 = £1.1 million
.... or other such shenanigans based around what Wolves value him at
