Bulgarian Football Union to bid for U17 European Championships
June 17 – The Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) is preparing a bid to host the U17 European Championships in 2028 or 2029, the national association has announced.
The BFU’s idea is for the majority of the matches to be played in Plovdiv, the second largest city in Bulgaria, where two of the country’s most modern stadiums have been built in recent years.
The state is investing significant funds in both the construction of the Hristo Botev Stadium,
