Garrison Farm
I remembered early this morning why it's all "Garrison" around there .... Garrison Lane, Garrison Pub etc .. it all comes from Garrison Farm
What we now all know as The Wheels Site used to be known as Garrison Farm (or at least a large part of it was).
The name came about because after the Civil War Prince Rupert's Royalist troops made camp there (in 1643).
(God i've got some shit buried away in my head - it's just a case of dragging it back out sometimes)
